Exchange Theatre Week
Echange Theatre Company translates, produces and promotes theatre based on diversity. The Company has been working to this end since 2006 and has built a repetoire of multicultural shows such as 'The Exchange' at the Hackney Empire (2008), 'The Flies' by J.P.Sartre at Camden People's Theatre (“Incredibly intense” The Scotsman, 2009), and translations of unknown new plays such as 'Bal Trap' (NY off-broadway 2011), or 'Square(d)' (New Wimbledon Studio 2010),
Exchange Theatre is building a bridge between cultures and languages. The company is currently resident company at the French Institute in London where they work on a unique season of monthly bilingual shows for kids. After developing Scratch projects of new works in July 2011 at the Lion and Unicorn, Exchange Theatre is delighted to return for a showcase week.

The story of the curse of the Mannon family is O'Neill's take on the Oresteia and a way for this major playwright, Nobel prize winner, to talk about his own family. It's also a great way for an amateur dramatic company to take their first step into tragedy.
