Blood Wedding, A Narrative

Olive Juice

A new comedy by Julisa O'Boyle

 Blood   Olive

Lorca’s rural tragedy re-imagined as a one-man show. Bitter devotion to land and family run up against a forbidden passion and elemental forces in a production incorporating music, song and elements of Lorca’s biography and writing.

With a knife, a tiny knife,
On a fateful day,
Two men lie stiff
With their lips yellow.
With a knife, a tiny knife,
Which folds into the hand.

In the pursuit of coming together... staying together... everything is how they imagined... almost.

They almost understand
Almost sympathize
Almost share the joke
Almost say 'I love you'

But she can't find the words
And he can't find his stuff
